Failure

  1. Off topic–
I just scraped an inch of “ohio valley sunshine”-(snow/rain/freezing rain/2″ snow) off the driveway–after uncovering the blacktop a nice layer of black ice forms within about a minute and -oh yeah-the power just came back on. Be happy in your work. Remember those happy winter days when the power was off?

    1. I’m guessing that being in Ohio during the winter when the power is off is a bad thing. Does that mean I should scratch Ohio off my list of possible places to retire?

BTW, it was 71 and sunny here today.

      1. I retired here but then I was born and raised (& bred too) here. I have seen -40 and +130 degrees in other places so 10 here in the winter is really no big thing. I like to visit the big citys but I always return to the hills. And the power always comes back on. Lots of old folks retire here but more of them move to Florida to bake in the sun–depends (snicker) what you are looking for in life.

        1. 10 actually doesn’t sound so bad–as long as it doesn’t comes with a bad windchill factor. I’ve heard about some really harsh weather elsewhere in the mid-west. I think I could handle 10.
