it looked really familiar to me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Friday morning (editor&#8217;s note: &#8220;morning&#8221; in Seattle is equivalent to &#8220;lunchtime&#8221; in my Los Angeles life) we walked down the hill to Pike&#8217;s Place market for some Piroshkies and soups.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"post alley\" src=\"http:\/\/lh4.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd8-JCprI\/AAAAAAAAAh8\/5xgRiGo28J4\/s800\/friday1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"570\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd9HkKBVI\/AAAAAAAAAiA\/VlAa0e3lVC0\/s800\/friday2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After that we went to the Farmer&#8217;s Market and onto another walking tour to various parts of the city including pioneer square.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Closer to the water from the market was this complex that I thought would be a great artist colony.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd9ePDOyI\/AAAAAAAAAiE\/s5o60NuDDT0\/s800\/friday3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had set down my snapple for a second on the ledge to take this photo.\u00a0 When I turned back around someone had seized the opportunity and left their trash next to my (not) trash.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh4.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd97w67ZI\/AAAAAAAAAiI\/C-5RwEVkZc0\/s800\/friday4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This had to be from tourists as Seattle has a pretty obvious commitment to recycling.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd-eEv2AI\/AAAAAAAAAiM\/E0_C5ZgUwsg\/s800\/friday5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Totems in Pioneer Square.<\/p>\n<p>This woman got sprayed:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd-1sTqyI\/AAAAAAAAAiQ\/TxD_BieA3C8\/s800\/friday6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh4.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd_d3AYuI\/AAAAAAAAAiU\/stcdr8_gZIU\/s800\/friday7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I think there is a parking garage like this in Westwood too.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd_jhdAuI\/AAAAAAAAAiY\/6uFuDwhcoD0\/s800\/friday8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There isn&#8217;t a kilt store in Westwood though.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJd_7rxD6I\/AAAAAAAAAic\/mviMleywsf8\/s800\/friday9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"653\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This store that sold cool antiqueish stuff also sold (uncool) scrabble pieces for TWO DOLLARS EACH.\u00a0 c&#8217;mon man&#8230;\u00a0 Is there no Target in Seattle?\u00a0 This brought the\u00a0price discrimination\u00a0lecture from economics to mind.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJeAfmqsiI\/AAAAAAAAAig\/iNrqjUWtkHI\/s800\/friday10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"581\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Electric Harp.\u00a0 The song the guy was playing sounded so familiar, but we couldn&#8217;t place it.\u00a0 After a few minutes I think I recognized it as the slowed down radiohead cover of Sunday Bloody Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SoJeA-SRCRI\/AAAAAAAAAik\/fBhY6FUE0Gg\/s800\/friday11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Several times in my visit these <a href=\"http:\/\/larouchepac.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">larouchedouchepac<\/a>\u00a0guys would pop up as we walked around.\u00a0 Lyndon should be old enough to know that the first person to bring up Hitler in an argument loses&#8230;\u00a0 but some people never learn.\u00a0 (I know it is hard to see in the photo here, but the large Obama poster features a toothbrush mustache &#8211; and the first link on their website is &#8220;Obama&#8217;s Nazi Health Care Plan&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>Later we visited Byron&#8217;s friends for dinner at &#8220;the best Indian place in town.&#8221;\u00a0 It was very good, we ate it with some kind of berry beer that was good as well.
