{"id":1372,"date":"2009-09-06T16:03:25","date_gmt":"2009-09-07T00:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.andrewlorenzlong.com\/?p=1372"},"modified":"2009-08-30T16:10:07","modified_gmt":"2009-08-31T00:10:07","slug":"to-paint-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.andrewlorenzlong.com\/?p=1372","title":{"rendered":"to paint 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After doing five &#8220;large&#8221; paintings (I&#8217;m not posting everything) I decided I wanted to try smaller paintings. \u00a0I had an idea to do a series of portraits of certain people who&#8217;d figured heavily into my life. \u00a0I intended to do enough to cover an entire wall (with 9&#8243;x9&#8243;s). \u00a0I only ended up finishing eight before I moved on to the car seat painting I posted on August 30th. \u00a0I may come back to this project in the future, but I have too many crazy ideas to work on for the time being.<\/p>\n<p>This one wasn&#8217;t the first of the series, but I moved it up since this guy happens to have his birthday today. \u00a0Happy birthday, Buddy!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SpsNvrkrNAI\/AAAAAAAAAtU\/z3RVJf6JljY\/s800\/portraitBG1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/_ft-qCjvrMks\/SpsNwBlh42I\/AAAAAAAAAtc\/SWmrGZTeLjo\/s800\/portraitBG2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I struggled a lot with the end of this one. \u00a0I had no idea how to paint stubble onto someone.
