Yes, they are.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This time a child died.<\/p>\n<p>I blame myself, really.\u00a0 After all, I&#8217;ve tried to get the word out <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewlorenzlong.com\/?p=1634\" target=\"_blank\">again<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.andrewlorenzlong.com\/?p=1325\" target=\"_blank\">again<\/a>\u00a0and I guess I just didn&#8217;t make my point.<\/p>\n<p>Good job mom and dad, I&#8217;m so glad you won&#8217;t face charges.\u00a0\u00a0 I bet if daddy had given the kid a loaded gun, and came back &#8220;after a few minutes to check on something&#8221; to find\u00a0his son\u00a0with bullet wounds this would be a different story.\u00a0 Instead we get hilarious lines like &#8220;We are not seeing any criminal culpability on the part of either parent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When are people going to wake up and stop treating dog attacks on children\u00a0like a natural disaster&#8230; there seems to be two consistent variables in this situation &#8211; putting a <strong>DOG<\/strong> around a <strong>CHILD<\/strong>.\u00a0 How hard is it to figure out?<\/p>\n<p>Child Endangerment is a criminal offense classified as the subjection of minor children to inappropriate or dangerous situations.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 By not charging these morons we are affirming that having pit bulls (or any carnivorous large animal) around a child is appropriate and not dangerous at all.\u00a0 Want to see how laughable our society&#8217;s treatment of animals is?\u00a0 Here are a few <strong>actual offenses<\/strong> that <strong>WILL<\/strong> land you in criminal court for child endangerment:<\/p>\n<p>drinking beer around a minor<\/p>\n<p>smoking pot in front of your child<\/p>\n<p>leaving an issue of playboy on the kitchen counter<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">telling your toddler to play with your pet pit bull\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 -oops! how&#8217;d that get in there&#8230; THAT one is perfectly reasonable!! sheesh, what was I thinking?!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes.
