On Saturday night Sam and I joined two friends (a fellow Pepperdine MBA student and his wife) and headed to Culver City. \u00a0We went to the Ethiopian restaurant that Sam and I had tried a few months back. \u00a0We didn’t remember from before, but the restaurant had actually purchased tables that were too small for the booths, creating a comical situation for our group. \u00a0The food was still good, though.<\/p>\n

Afterwards we walked down the street (Washington) to Thinkspace’s five year anniversary show and the Eric Fortune \/ Nate Frizzell show at Lebasse Projects. \u00a0These shows were covered extensively on the net – so no need for me to take my own photos, here <\/a>is the thinkspace show and here<\/a> is Eric’s show. \u00a0Eric’s show was actually relegated to the smaller back room of LeBasse. \u00a0Not that there is anything wrong with Frizzell’s work, but we agreed that Eric’s work is much more refined, delicate and\u00a0intriguing and we’d have liked to seen him have his own much larger solo show.<\/p>\n

Fun Fact: Eric is from Columbus Ohio (like me! \u00a0…except he is still there)<\/p>\n

After that we wandered back up the street (west) and found the peace gallery (or something like that). \u00a0The interesting thing about that gallery wasn’t what was inside – but the freaky electric cello orgasmic faced guy in Frankenstein boots playing music outside.<\/p>\n

It was very dark and he was gyrating (and he had his own wind source dramatically blowing his hair and jacket) so I couldn’t get a good shot…<\/p>\n
