hot springs &#8211; but first we were given mud masks to wear and sent to the \u201cDr. Fish Pool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" skin eating fish that Sam and I had experienced in Phukiet, but here there weren\u2019t as many, and we had to share the pool with many Russian tourists.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The western area of Thailand is filled with vacationing Russians, so much so that it is common to see market signs in Thai and Russian before seeing English.<br \/>\nAfter the fish pond we went through a hot spring and a mineral pool before starting in on the \u201cthemed\u201d hot springs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-2BzN3lKrlcg\/UC2-2BotrvI\/AAAAAAAAJb0\/z0S-lcn0Shw\/s600\/DSC00488.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These six springs each featured separate aromas in the water (like peppermint and coffee).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" dip in a cool rock pool.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" guide \u201cMickey\u201d (who took all of these pictures) started bringing us an endless supply of poolside sugar cane drinks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-SAGhsoykSoY\/UC2-3sl9CWI\/AAAAAAAAJcU\/RwKeVsxg6P8\/s600\/DSC00497.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><br \/>\nIt turned out there was another fish pool by the \u201ctea\u201d pools, and we took a dip in that one as well. \u00a0It turned out to be better as there were more fish. \u00a0These fish were all black, where the first pool was full of white fish.<br \/>\nOur last stop in the spa was to get a cucumber cooling mask treatment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The entrance\/exit road was lined with these wide growing (banyan?) trees forming a tunnel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-2Ci6OQZWznk\/UC2-88RsM1I\/AAAAAAAAJeA\/TKAcsHjoEZA\/s600\/DSC00525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><br \/>\nWe stopped for lunch at the same roadside restaurant we\u2019d had a late dinner the night before. \u00a0Afterwards we went to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tigertemplethailand.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tiger Temple<\/a>. \u00a0It was too crowded and we weren&#8217;t wearing proper attire, so we didn&#8217;t do more than stop and snap some pictures of animals (I think this was just me) at the entrance.<\/p>\n<p><img \/><\/p>\n<p>It is always amazing that these places aren\u2019t guarded and secured like a (just) 200 year old \u201chistorical\u201d site would be in America.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
