This was a tour of my hometown which included lookout point, our courthouse featuring backward swastikas (native American symbols), mound cemetery, the Marietta &#8220;arboretum&#8221;, the &#8220;start western&#8221; monument and driving past several &#8220;landmarks.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-flickr wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/pSczuV\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/7516\/15664289385_2fd6ae23bf_z.jpg\" alt=\"DSC03494.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption>&#8220;Lookout!&#8221; I shouted and pointed. She was too clever to fall for it.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We concluded the tour with what is supposedly the valley&#8217;s best Mexican restaurant, although I never would have known from the food. I suppose it&#8217;s not fair to judge a southeastern Ohio small-town Mexican cook by Southern California standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterward we went home and ate Chocolate cake in a further celebration of my mom&#8217;s XXth birthday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday my mother and father took Sam on the MOV highlights tour.
