We went to <a href=\"http:\/\/fbcofla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a church that mom wanted to see for its stained glass window<\/a>s, then the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wendemuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wende Museum<\/a>, the cemetery next door, then I dropped them off at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grammymuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grammy Museum<\/a> (parking was impossible thanks to Jimmy Kimmel filming a band outside).<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, we picked Sam up and headed home to watch the first of the three hobbit movies.<\/p>\n<p>The next day I took them to the Forest Lawn cemetery\u00a0near our condo, then Sam joined us for lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p>After we got home we watched another hobbit movie before I took them up the trail behind our condo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/hphotos-xtf1\/t31.0-8\/12291825_10201257024625134_207149136768892720_o.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"521\" height=\"347\" \/>After coming back, we watched the last hobbit movie.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, we headed to the grove for brunch at the Farmer Market and hiked up the mountain in Griffith Park until sunset.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net\/hphotos-xfl1\/v\/t1.0-9\/12360088_10156225127235005_3630178409946244248_n.jpg?oh=ae9a2fd0f2c218c20659b2e8fbf593d0&amp;oe=571D90E7\" alt=\"\" width=\"528\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On December 3rd, my parents flew in for a visit.
