California, girls, computers, jobs<\/p>\n
I have kept very quiet about my move to CA on this website. I guess I’ll put up a big update now. I’m planning on moving to California in the third week of August. Most people who know me well already know that. What is still up in the air is who I’m going to live with and where. Brian is coming with me, but we do not know if we will live with Mr. Machine, Chi, both, or neither. Mr Machine (who -by request- shall not be known as The Mix ever again) lost his job yesterday, so things may be changing a bit for him. It remains to be seen whether this will impact the living arrangements for Brian and I. <\/p>\n
I’m trying to sell most of my stuff before I move. I get people interested, but nobody buys anything. I don’t know what I’ll do with all this stuff if I can’t sell it.<\/p>\n
Amanda Nolan and David (something) are getting married in two weeks. I haven’t talked to Amanda much over the years, but I was around when her and Dave got together (and she and Ben split). I actually have a date for the wedding. I don’t talk about the break-up of Celeste and I on here usually or anything to do with my “romantic” social life. I guess I’m still trying to figure out how to deal with it properly. I have met a few girls in the past six months but none of them really seemed that interesting for one reason or another. I’ve been talking to my date for the wedding a lot lately and perhaps something will develop there. We’ll see, I have yet to meet her in person. Fortunately she is from Los Angeles, so if I do start to like her I won’t have to leave her behind when I move. <\/p>\n
My computer is on its last legs, which is really horrible timing, considering I’m about to lay down a few grand on moving and won’t have anything left to build a new computer until I get a job. The Machine said he might drive a big van out here to help me move…that might be cool… <\/p>\n
I’ve lost maybe 10 or 15 pounds in the past two months by exercising more and eating less. I’m at the point now though where I need to go to a gym to improve past this point… But that is another thing that I can’t afford until I get a good job out there. I got really paranoid a couple weeks ago and sent out (no joke) at least 500 resumes (online). I got virtually no responses at all. I’m not sure if that has more to do with the crappy LA job market, or the fact that they throw out any resume that says “ohio” on it.<\/p>\n
