They are only offering two grad level courses this summer, but I can take either one to complete the minor. I think modern painting and sculpture would be more interesting, but I think I&#8217;m going to take the class on ancient egyptian art, because I know the professor. That partially solves the problem with my classes in the summer, at least now I&#8217;m half-time instead of part-time. However, I still have to figure out how to graduate in march due to the time conflict of art classes. I will need to fit one more class on next winter quarter, but the time conflicts with the others I&#8217;m taking. So, what I&#8217;m going to try and do is see if there are any painting and drawing professors staying here over the summer. If somebody is, I&#8217;ll ask them if I can do an independent study for 5 credits, thus freeing that part of next winters requirement and adding credits to summer so I&#8217;m still full time.<\/p>\n<p>Note (june 2004):  The art history department would later deny me the art history minor after I had taken all the classes because it was in the same college as my major<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I talked to the history of art department today and found out that I can finish the one class left for my history of art minor over the summer.
