We eventually got there and parked in the giant dirt parking lot owned by Waste Management somewhere in the middle of the industrial area of the San Gabriel Valley.  One shuttle later we were at the &#8220;campus&#8221; of City of Hope.  The 5k walk consisted of walking around the parking lots and internal streets of the &#8220;campus.&#8221;  Not exactly the most beatific location I&#8217;ve ever seen, but I suppose it was for a good cause.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.andrewlorenzlong.com\/hopewalk.jpg\" width=600 height=450 border=0 alt=''><\/p>\n<p>The road above the path is the 210 freeway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I woke up at 7 to go to the City of Hope Cancer Walk.
