Every time we dream our body takes a trip back to the womb.
\nWe sleep to recharge our bodies, just as the time in the womb was spent making our bodies good enough to
\nbe born. Our bodies are constantly trying to recreate the womb experience as we sleep. As we grow tired
\nat the end of the day our vision gets blurry and sound warbles in and out. It is harder to sleep in well lit
\nenvironments. Most people find it easier to sleep curled into a fetal position. When we go to bed we
\ninstinctively cover ourselves up or we don’t feel “comfortable.” All of these are obviously instinctual efforts
\nto recreate the feeling of being in the womb. All the blankets we cover ourselves with simulate the layers
\nof flesh surrounding the womb. Our sensitivity to light and sound simulates the deafened environment of the womb.
\nEven our dreams are a leftover from our tenure in the womb. Surely once our brains developed in the womb we
\nbegan to dream-what else was there to do However, it would seem that dreams are only here to recreate the womb
\nexperience. People tend to feel better rested after experiencing “deep sleep.” So, if we rest better without
\ndreaming, dreams are obviously only there to bring back the guiltless fantasies we used to have in the womb but
\nwere never allowed once into the “real world.”<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Another file called “writing” from 2004… Sleep connects us to the animal inside us.
