The other day it was hailing. Yesterday the wind was blowing so hard it blew apart a power cable on top of the office. Today I woke up to a sight that I hadn&#8217;t seen in four previous winters in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, that is snow on the mountain at the back of the valley. At first I wondered if there was some terrible fire last night and it was all ash. Then I clicked the &#8220;ambient temperature&#8221; button in the car and say 39 degrees.
