He had what seemed like a very strange request.  He asked me for the character that results in pressing shift on a keyboard and pressing a few numeric keys (i.e. 4 = $).  Turns out old Byron was having to log into a password protected account with his iphone.  The password contained special characters.  Because the special characters are on a different keypad on this (and most smartphones) without having access to the internet &#8211; he had no idea what numeric keys to press.  He had guessed correctly that I was sitting in front of the computer (although if he&#8217;d called yesterday I&#8217;d have been in class).<\/p>\n<p>This lead to a laugh as I had experienced a similar frequent problem in which I&#8217;m told to enter someones name into a voicemail system by entering their &#8220;name&#8221; (in letters) by pressing the keypad.
