Today I received a large shoe-box sized package at work.\u00a0 It was from my mom, and I’d been expecting it as she had warned me ahead of time.\u00a0 Mom always likes to surprise me with these things, the\u00a0surprise is\u00a0never that something is coming – just what is inside. \u00a0Like so many American moms mine never gets tired of sending “care packages” and I never get tired of receiving them.\u00a0 Unlike other moms though, mine also comes with a peculiar sense of humor.\u00a0 Inside the package was a large box of homemade cookies in four different varieties, a nice note on a card\u00a0and…. a single old sock.<\/p>\n
