It was basically just a bunch of helicopter shots of the amazon and Africa. I drove for 25 minutes and waited in line for another 30 to see a movie that ended up being only 40 minutes long. I had never been to an IMAX theater before and I&#8217;m not that impressed. The screen is a big square, which sounds like a good idea&#8230;until you realize that the &#8220;widescreen&#8221; format was created for a good reason&#8230;because that is how our vision works. The screen basically went from the floor to the 6 story high ceiling, which is cool, but they need to have the screen wrap around to the edges of our peripheral view as well for the effect (of being &#8220;in&#8221; the movie) to really work.<\/p>\n<p>Mom came up yesterday and we went to &#8220;El Vaquero.&#8221; Best Mexican restaurant (in the northeast) that I know of.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was given a free ticket to the IMAX movie &#8220;sacred earth&#8221; last week.
