This site <\/a>has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while.<\/p>\nSome arguments for the existence of god on the site (paraphrased by moi):<\/p>\n
“hey, everything had to start somewhere… so it MUST have been started by GOD”<\/p>\n
(see comment on third quote)<\/em><\/p>\n“the Earth has water, and a lot of it… see… GOD”<\/p>\n
Wow, so I guess that whole explanation about Earth being far enough from the sun that water doesn’t boil\/vapor\/gas\u00a0but also close enough to maintain water in a liquid form (instead of ice) didn’t hold water with creationists…. instead it is Magic that makes the water on Earth liquid (some of it, anyway).<\/em><\/p>\n“energy cannot be created or destroyed…therefore…GOD created it!”<\/p>\n
Why can these people so easily accept that GOD has always existed, but they can’t accept that the energy of the universe may have always existed.\u00a0 Hello… WHAT WAS GOD CREATED FROM, THEN?\u00a0 WHO CREATED HIM?!\u00a0 It is amazing to me that these people can’t just sit back and look at their writing and see “oh yeah, I guess if you look at it at the macro level, the idea of a\u00a0Creator is synonymous with the idea of the Universe itself.”\u00a0 But, no…<\/em><\/p>\nAlso, the idea that “life” is ONLY carbon based is a pretty blind way of seeing things when looking at it on a universal scale.\u00a0 Even intelligent life could theoretically spring up in the absense of water, oxygen, etc.\u00a0\u00a0 The first self-aware computer will prove that…\u00a0 (and will that make us Gods?)<\/p>\n
