Thursday night I had my final final of my first term of grad school. \u00a0The test was extremely hard even after studying for two weeks and going to multiple study group sessions. \u00a0<\/p>\n

After the test I jetted off to meet Aaron, Caleb, Ethan and Roman at the Echo for the\u00a0Budos Band show.<\/p>\n

The first act was Boogaloo Assassins. \u00a0I don’t know exactly what kind of music this was. \u00a0I think it was a mix of a bunch of things, and some covers from different Cuban\/Latin genres.<\/p>\n

here is a crappy cell phone picture. Call me a racist but the frontman on the right reminded me a lot of Hootie McGuffin or whatever his name is<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their performance\/sound was very similar to this clip of them at The Mint (I recognize some of the songs in this clip as those that were also played last night):<\/p>\n

They played for about 45 minutes (till about 10:50pm) and then headed off stage. \u00a0<\/p>\n

When Budos Band finally started up it was 11:20pm. \u00a0Keep in mind that The Echo is on the other side of Los Angeles from my home, I had to be at work the next morning and I’d just taken the Final exam from hell – after two hours of class first. \u00a0So, I left around 11:45 after three songs. \u00a0A shame since Budos Band is actually pretty amazing live (and the tickets were $14). \u00a0Just check out this clip from another live show somewhere else. \u00a0Last night sounded about the same…<\/p>\n
