My favorite Sigur Ros song… used for a lame video game…which is also in the process of being made into a “major motion picture” with Jake Gillenthallillal…. Maybe they’ll spring for a song off the new album for the trailer to that…
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I feel like the Native American in the Make America Beautiful campaign. Using Sigur Ros in movie trailers is one thing…but Prince of Persia? Dammit!
PS – the real song is over seven minutes long. The whack job at 1:45 is about the most awkward cut I’ve ever heard (at least when you know what the song is supposed to sound like).
NOTE: the tv commercial I saw was 30 seconds, but I can’t find a copy of it online yet…
Just for reference, here is the movie trailer I was speaking of. This movie wasn’t great – but it wasn’t bad – and the song mathced the theme of the movie/trailer.
