I never checked out Ladytron until today. I’d always heard OF them, but never listened to anything by them. Does this song remind anyone else (the vocals) of Pet Shop Boys? I listened to a few other songs and wasn’t as impressed, but this one isn’t that bad.
From Britain no less….
My dad commented on my entry yesterday with this article. Turns out it is an excerpt from an entire book about the same topic as my “check” posting from a week ago. The kicker here is that the author is a woman. This is a problem that is slowly slowly being aknowledged. A few of […]
nickname coleslaw
Someone made a youtube of one of my favorite artist’s paintings. …set to one of my favorite musical artist’s songs. A lot of his work is more “fantastic” than bone-chilling – but this video features more of the boney skeleton stuff. When I’m a big rich something or other someday I want to own one […]
pedro for president
On Saturday I drove back down the 405 past Wilshire West again in order to get to San Pedro for the “Taste of San Pedro” event. It looked a lot larger on their website than it ended up being. It boiled down to a bunch of pizza and lemonade booths interspersed with things like “Tom’s […]
tumbling down the rabbit hole
okay lets not give Mr. Bay any crazy ideas.
Just because you feel it, doesn’t mean it’s there
I think I ruffled some feathers with that “check” posting last weekend. Such are the dangers with writing without a filter on occasion. I want to make it clear that I’m not “hating women” or trying to start a “battle with women” or anything like that – just lashing out from inside my cave when […]

Is anybody out there?
An interesting thing happened yesterday. About once or twice a day I’ll get a notice that someone has registered on my blog. Now, the vast vast majority of the time these are spam-bots that have figured out how to register (they are getting smarter all the time). I then have to go in and delete […]

earthquake!
We just had a fairly major (i.e. I felt it this time) earthquake! This is the first one in over a year – but this was way more exciting. Early reports are saying this was a 5.8. I hope nothing fell over at my house! the earth is still shaking slowly and gently now as […]
