I went directly to Marietta after work Friday. Saturday it was back to Columbus for a trip to the store to stock up on Amy-friendly groceries. Then today I spent the day at the family reunion. I answered many questions about my move, showed my car to my cousin Anne (she is deciding on a new car), picked up some tennis racquets from my cousin Kelly (and husband Charlie), and found out that my cousins Anne and Andrea got to be extras in two scenes of the forthcoming big-screen adaptation of Fat Albert. They also attended The Tonight Show and wound up on TV as some of the people shaking Jay’s hand as he walks out at the beginning.
Earlier this week I got an email from Jeff Wyner, a friend from art school. He has a cool new flash site: www.theboxthebox.com Check it, G.
Boy, I caught hell (from Mr. Machine) for my Salvador Dali comment in the last post. Maybe “blows them both away” was a bit harsh, but I’m not going to edit it because I still think on the whole that Beksinski is better. He just didn’t make any melting clocks that would end up on dorm room posters…
Amy will be here in 3.5 days.
