I’ve been using Google Reader for my RSS feed reader for a while now (probably over a year, but not quite two).

As such I’ve been accumulating blogs from a bunch of different artists to read.  Of course I read a lot of other blogs and news too (technology, cars, politics, finance, etc.), but I realized a few days ago that I never updated the blogroll on my own blog to reflect all of this art stuff.

So, please scroll down on the left below the blog history and check out the many art blogs I’ve linked to.  Most of these are local young Los Angeles artists that I’ve seen in the galleries around town and hope to actually exhibit with one day if I’m lucky enough (long way to go before something like that happens though).

In any case, most of these showcase the new art world trend to have an “art blog”, which is sort of what this blog is transforming into as well (showcasing new work and the process of creation).  Where facebook is networking for “average” people, this network of art blogs is the new networking (other than actually talking at galleries and or schools) for young (and some older) artists.  It also serves as a portfolio that is easier to update than one on a “real” website.

Many of these artists have work that is very inspiring for me and I one day hope to be able to purchase.  Please check them out.  This is the LA art scene.
