I’ve been trying to tell this to people for years – but nobody understands/listens. At work we recently got 20″ TVs to use at our trade show booths because “they’re HD and they’ll look awesome.” When I tried to explain the resolution of the TV vs. a 20″ computer monitor I just got confused looks and “well I’m not in the IT department” in return. However, I saw this cartoon and it encapsulates my thoughts perfectly.
Want more proof that HDTV sucks? Next time you’re watching your favorite HD programming go up next to the TV. Look at that network logo in the corner. Fuzzy, isn’t it? Now look at anything on your laptop and get that close. Not so fuzzy. You had a “higher definition” picture with your computer the whole time…
