Wednesday night Amy’s brother Alex was working at Wal-Mart as the resident optician to pick up some extra spending cash for Christmas. I stopped in and he gave me a free eye exam. I knew my eyesight had gotten worse since I was a teenager, but I didn’t know how much. Well the answer was…not much. I have a slight astigmatism in both eyes. Thats the bad news. The good news is that it is so minor that the only time glasses would even help would be (maybe) night driving. However, I was informed that Amy had a similar problem only slightly worse and when she wears her glasses to drive it gives her migraines.

So lets recap: Since I’ve turned 23 I’ve gotten cavities, my eyesight is starting (albeit at a snail’s pace) to go, and some people seem to think my hair is starting to thin out in a little patch on the back right of my head…

I got the bill for my little intestinal infection episode yesterday. I was very suprised. The bill (after the rebate for not having insurance) came out to under sixty dollars. Not the big deal I was expecting. Even Aaron had me convinced it would be a few hundred.
