On Monday my mother and father took Sam on the MOV highlights tour. This was a tour of my hometown which included lookout point, our courthouse featuring backward swastikas (native American symbols), mound cemetery, the Marietta “arboretum”, the “start western” monument and driving past several “landmarks.”
We concluded the tour with what is supposedly the valley’s best Mexican restaurant, although I never would have known from the food. I suppose it’s not fair to judge a southeastern Ohio small-town Mexican cook by Southern California standards.
Afterward we went home and ate Chocolate cake in a further celebration of my mom’s XXth birthday.
