On Sunday Beverly, her mother and I headed to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve. I had never heard of it before, but after telling people where I’d gone they all had heard of it before and heard it was great. Well, it was great, although not as great as some other parks I’ve been to (Red Rocks).
For some accurate photos click here. I may have some of our own photos up next week – as they were all on Beverly’s camera.
I often felt like part of the Windows XP homescreen development crew as we walked around in these picturesque fields. Toward the end of the day my allergies started to kick in from all the dust blowing about (the soil in the Valley is almost desert-soil). Beverly and her mother were more exhausted from the heat (in the 100s I think).
