stretching, cliffy, alltell, Brian in college, crockett
Enjoying memorial day and getting some things done. Celeste read a book (for class) and wrote a paper last night while I stretched seven canvases and gessoed four of them (ran out of gesso at that point).
Cliff called from the road and I found out that he was accepted into the Johnson and Wales cooking school (the same one from the Food network “reality” tv show). The only problem is that he set everything up to move out there (one of their several locations around the country) with his fiance, and as soon as he had his financial aid squared away, they separated. Now he is afraid that he can’t afford to move and won’t be able to go to school.
Mom also called and sounded like she was calling from the road, but she was actually at home on a really awful cell phone. Apparently Alltell sucks…
I heard from Brian last week and he has decided to get a communications degree from Marietta College. Good for him. I also heard from Jeremy who is (surprise surprise!) bored in Kansas and wants to move somewhere else.
I noticed that in a post about a month ago I said we were going to Celeste’s parent’s “wedding reunion” on the 11th. I just realized how confusing that must have been. What we actually went to was their 25th wedding anniversary. A lot of their family (that lives in the US) came though, so for some reason I thought of it as a reunion. Celeste and her sister with help from Aaron and I spent all day Saturday fixing the house up and whatnot preparing.
I finally squared away my future on wednesday. I met with Alan Crockett, who agreed to do 5 credits of independent study with me autumn quarter. That means that now I am certain I will graduate on Friday, March 19th 2004.
