A man was killed on Glendale Blvd. last night at the same “intersection” that I ran across Thursday night. You see, I originally walked to the EchoPlex, when I really needed to be at The Echo. So, I had to cross the street in that crosswalk that runs underneath the Sunset overpass. This is exactly where this guy was killed, and this underpass was named one of the most dangerous crosswalks in Los Angeles (before this accident). I remember crossing the street and thinking “damn, people drive fast on this street, is there really no light?” Then I remember running up the steps to Sunset and thinking “ew, this smells like piss.”
Also – yes, Byron, this is the same underpass where you took the photo of the crosswalk sign with the guy holding the gun as we walked away from the lines to get into the EchoPlex that night.
