It isn’t often that I rave about a product. Today I have to rave out a piece of (FREE) software that we’ve all heard of before but many (including me) may have never used. Beverly is in England on business for a few weeks this month – so for the past week we’ve been trying to figure out the best way to call each other. We’ve used phone cards, regular cell calls, vonage, and today Skype. Although it was also free, Vonage’s voice quality was not great. Skype however turned out to be the best of the bunch – with terrific voice quality. So, if you ever need to talk to someone out of the country I highly recommend Skype. It is completely free if you run it computer to computer.

Hmmm, too much positivity – need to balance it out… oh yeah! – I saw The Incredible Hulk on Friday and it was predictably horrible. What the hell happened – how is Edward Norton playing the Hulk and Brad Pitt is playing Benjamin Button? Did anyone see this coming? Now, yes, I knew it was going to be bad – and thus was able to revel in the HULK SMASHness. I was surprised when NOBODY in the audience laughed at the Lou Ferrigno. It is always an odd feeling when you’re the only guy in the audience that got the in (or in this case I thought rather obvious) joke. The same thing happened with the Animals album cover reference in Children of Men. Even more surprising was that even after three spider mans, three x-mens, iron man, etc. etc. STILL hardly anyone notices the Stan Lee cameo. I guess they just think that is some “old dude” actor that just happens to show up in every single Marvel movie. (it has also gone unnoticed by many that Marvel has completely taken over the production of their character films)
