On Thursday I headed to Stoney Point with Victor and another friend. This friend was an experienced rock climber. At one point on the climb our rock-climbing instructor taught us how to scale a boulder. It took us about an hour (and watching him do it twice) and many scrapes and bruises till we could figure out how to manuever our bodies up the rock face without falling (we chose a fairly “safe” area so if we fell we wouldn’t fall tooooo far).
Even though I thought I was in shape, three nights later my body was really starting to ache. On Saturday morning I couldn’t work out – I went to the gym Sunday and had a decent workout – but by Sunday night my body was creaking and groaning so bad that I decided to finally try the Chinese beer that Justin bought me for my birthday three months ago.
Best design so far–simple and bright. Do you free scale or use a belay?
well, must be free scale since I don’t know what a belay is, and we didn’t use anything but our hands, elbows, feet and knees.
