So did you do the invisalign or just regular braces? I’m skeptical about the results from invisalign and wonder if it’s as good as braces.

ahhhh…. you have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into with this question… I work for a dental lab!

Briefly – Invisalign only works on a very small percentage of patients that need very minimal treatment (usually minimal spacing or crowding issues). It is much more expensive than the alternatives, and you have to have many more visits to the doctor (to swap out the trays).

If you need only a little work done – yes it is as good. But in most cases, NO it is not as good as alternatives. – and there is actually a better alternative than braces for most people and it is called appliance therapy. Many of the appliances are removable and are easier to wear than braces.

Removable appliances? Visions of dentures come to mind when you say things like that. I can just imagine kissing my husband and having my “removal appliances” fumbling around in my mouth. Yeah, REAL sexy.

I did some research online reading customer feedback. I think I’ll stick to my original plan of good old braces.
