I read this article about Americans failing a test on their own history. Of course I had to try it. Of course I didn’t fail. …but a 70% is failing (and troubling) to me.

There is a book called “The Worm in the Apple” that blames our inferior education on poorly organized solutions for running schools. The money that should be spent on education is instead spent on salaries of administration and the like. Teachers who do a poor job of teaching are protected by unions and are rarely removed from their positions.
