I thought I saw someone I knew last night on facebook – and so I added them as a friend. Facebook doesn’t let you see someone’s profile unless you are already a confirmed friend with them OR you went to the same college (and sometimes even then not). I looked at her profile today and discovered… I don’t know who the hell this girl is. Apparently she went to school with me just like the girl I thought she was…but…she clearly isn’t. Then I remembered the girl I thought she was is named Darbie…not Darcie (this girl’s name).
Do I remove her from my friends list? Does SHE remember ME even though I don’t remember her…or is she just padding her list of friends?
Another case of netiquette…. Maybe the netiquette maven can help me out…
The situation with facebook gets even more complicated when you consider all your old female friends in high school or college are married and have different last names now.
oh well, back to studying for the GMAT … which is now rushing at me with determined speed.
Ha! Wait untill you are walking down the street and about to say hello to that hot chick that you haven’t seen “in a while” and suddenly realize it must be that hot chick’s GRANDAUGHTER.
BTW-good luck on the GMAT. The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago–the second best is today.
